Hellion Toys – wooden mountains

It’s been a while since I wrote about any lovely ethical toys, so I thought I’d talk a little about Hellion Toys. Babipur have recently started stocking this lovely range, so I decided to give them a go and ordered a set of 3 wooden mountains. 

Hellion Toys are hand crafted in the Forest of Bowland, which happens to be close to where I live, making it that little bit more special for us! All of the toys are absolutely gorgeous, and the whole range is perfect for little hands. 

As always, my Babipur order was super speedy, and showed up after just a day. I was excited to investigate the Hellion toys and was thrilled to find thoughtful (and frankly stunning) packaging for my little mountain set! I immediately thought this would make a wonderful gift for anyone with children, and already have another set in my basket for a little one’s birthday coming up! 

When I opened up the box, I found some lovely artwork leaflets from Hellion, and a gift bag containing the three little mountains. The mountains themselves are the perfect size for my twin toddlers, and wonderfully tactile. At the moment they just like to hold and feel toys like this, but in future they will be absolutely perfect for small world play, and setting up scenes! They’re each decorated slightly differently, and have a beautiful finish. 

As Hellion was a new brand to us, I just started off with this small mountain set to see what we thought. Now we’ve had a chance to play with them, I can confirm that we’ll be getting more and trying out some of the other beautiful toys! Hellion make some fantastic educational resources – particularly lovely is the BSL alphabet board that you can see reviewed by the wonderful Zee over at @pictureourday on Instagram.
