Preparing for my twins’ second birthday!
The twins turn two at the end of the month (where did those two years go!?) so I’ve started to prepare a few things. We plan to say hello to some family over the birthday weekend, and will probably celebrate with some cake!
With regards to gifts, I’ve got a few things ready for the big day;
1. Bajo Mendelsons
These little figures are great for stacking , balancing, and sorting – all things that Twin Two is interested in at the moment. I’ve seen some brilliant displays made with them too so I know we’ll be able to have a lot of fun with this set. You can find the set here.
2. Grimm’s mushroom balancing game
I’ve never seen much hype over this set, but it’s something else I know Twin Two will enjoy. I peeped in the box and can confirm that it’s a really beautiful set, and I think it’s reasonably priced at Babipur too. I’m quite excited to watch him have a play with these!
3. Bajo Gruffalo
Twin One has been showing lots of interest in books recently, so I thought I would dig out our copy of The Gruffalo and present it with this adorable little figure that has moveable limbs! Hopefully it’ll help with some character recognition and spark interest in the book!
That’s what I’ve got so far, and plan on adding one more thing for Twin One. She doesn’t show a huge amount of interest in toys, but loves repetitive movements like rocking and dancing. We’ve had big success with a trampoline park in the past so I think I’ll either find her a tiny trampoline to bounce on at home, or an indoor swing!
In the grand scheme of things, this might not seem like much, but we already have lots of lovely toys so I would rather get a couple of well thought-out gifts than overwhelm them with lots!
